WATCH: Notts Mike tests mobile app to help blind

The Advertiser asked Mike Fuller, 68, to test a new app which lets people volunteer on a network of keen eyes, offering help to people who have impaired vision.

He said: “I’ll definately be using it. You get the interaction – they can direct you where to point the camera and you can ask them what it is you want to know. There’s also a nice social element to it.

Be My Eyes launched in January and already has 168,000 sighted volunteers around the world, helping 17,000 blind users.
