VICTIMS of hate crime are being given the opportunity to get specialist advice and support in Eastwood.
Drop-in sessions will be run every Wednesday from the Eastwood Volunteer Bureau in Wellington Place.
Broxtowe Borough Council organised the sessions after a series of racist attacks targeting workers at takeaway restaurants and after a survey showed an increase in disabled victims.
The sessions will be run between 11am and 1pm and the first one will start next Wednesday, March 2.
The initiative forms part of the Council for Equality and Human Rights Nottingham and Nottinghamshire (CEHRNN) Grassroots Project which provides support through volunteers who have themselves been victims of hate crime.
