CHILDREN at Brookhill Leys Primary School in Eastwood dressed in yellow for the day to raise money for the air ambulance.
The school raised £285 for the Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire Air Ambulance, thanks to donations from pupils for wearing non-school uniform.
Headteacher Jacquie Sainsbury wanted to do something for the charity, because it does not receive any money from the Government.
“We are near the motorway and it could touch any member of our school community at some point in their lives,” she said.
“I feel it’s an important charity that everybody should be aware of.”
Teachers held an assembly about the air ambulance and pupils did project work on it throughout the day.
