EASTWOOD Town manager Paul Cox has signed a new four-year, full-time contract.
Cox, who guided Eastwood to fourth place in the league and to two trophy wins this season, has committed his long-term future to the club and will now also focus all his time and effort towards gaining further success.
In a statement on the club's
website, chairman Rob Yong said: "After careful consideration, Paul has decided to leave his full time teaching position at the end of May 2008 to focus on his football management career.
"Paul had interest from clubs in higher leagues and also so called "bigger clubs" at our level, but he preferred to continue at Eastwood Town."
Cox's new role will see him take full responsibility, control and authority over all footballing matters both on and off the pitch to include;
* First team
* Reserves
* Appointment of all playing football staff
* Appointment of all non-playing football staff
* Training facilities & equipment
* Home ground facilities
* Away Travel
Yong added: "Paul's long term full time commitment to the club is in line with my own personal and financial commitments that I have given to ETFC. I am delighted that we will be able to work together for the duration of my time as Chairman."
