UNUSUALLY fortunate, this season, with national cup draws, Eastwood Town must make ground advantage count over the next two Saturday afternoons.
Tomorrow, Harrogate Town, third-placed in the Blue-Square North, visit Eastwood for a third qualifying round FA Cup tie and just a week later our Premier Division neighbours Ilkeston Town ‘cross the brook’ for a first qualifying round FA Trophy battle.

Our North Yorkshire opponents come to Coronation Park tomorrow (11th, 3pm) on the back of three consecutive 0-0 draws and I’ve no doubt Shane Redmond will have another clean sheet as his immediate objective.

Should a replay be required, we’ll head up the A1 on Tuesday starting out at 4.30pm for a 7.45pm kick-off.

May I again remind our fans that, in Football Association competitions, all pay and season tickets and vice-presidents passes are similarly invalid.

Admission prices for FA Cup and Trophy are adults £7, normal concession £5 and accompanied schoolchildren £2.

Our reserves’ scheduled home game tomorrow against Sandiacre Town is a victim of our FA Cup run and although I had hoped to switch venues, that apparently won’t be happening.
