MEMBERS of Eastwood TaeKwonDo Club have tasted yet more success, this time at the Imperial TaeKwonDo Championships at the Rivermead Leisure Centre in Reading.
The club had seven competitors out of a total of 500, including 30 from International TaeKwonDo UK - with 27 medals being claimed by the UK team.

Eastwood took ten of those medals, with Kerry Wilson 4th Dan taking three golds in the veterans pattern, sparring and power sections.

Matthew Wilson 1st Dan black belt won a bronze medal in the sparring for the 13-18 age group, while green belt Brandon Wilson won a gold in the 8-12 years pattern and bronze in the sparring.

Yellow belts Jordan Wood claimed two golds in the 5-7 years pattern and sparring, and Adam Hill a silver in the 5-7 years sparring.

White belt Thomas Plummer completed the haul as he took bronze in the 8-12 years sparring.

Instructor Michael Wood 7th Dan said: “To take seven competitors and come back with ten medals is some achievement in a major tournament with competitors from all over the UK.”
