KICC 1st XI 90 all out lost to Cuckney 93-6
A combination of this crushing four wicket defeat and a convincing win for West Indian Cavaliers over Caythorpe, means Kimberley and the other sides, have virtually surrendered the Premier League title to the Cavaliers.
With two games remaining, their lead is now a commanding 27 points. Kimberley remain second, a point ahead of Papplewick & Linby.
Will Butler won the toss for Cuckney and inserted Kimberley at Newdigate Street and it was not long before the home side were in trouble.
Richard Stroh and Richard Logan began trading wickets as Kimberley slumped to 56-9. Alex Heslop hit two fours and two sixes in his 27 to add 34 runs for the last wicket. Only two bowlers were used in the 24 over demolition - Stroh ended with 5-58 and Logan 5-27.
Matt Wright had Alex Lloyd caught off the fourth ball of the Cuckney reply, but the score had moved on to 31 before Wright struck again.
Josh Mangan then picked up two wickets and when Wright claimed his third victim, Cuckney themselves were facing a low total with the score 45-5.
However, Steve Musgrove dented Kimberley's title hopes as he hammered an unbeaten 34 off just 22 balls. Wright did just have time to claim his fourth wicket (4-19), but Cuckney squeezed home to win by four wickets in a very early finish.

Caunton 1st XI 89 all out lost to KICC 3rd XI 90-7
Matt Ross won the toss for Kimberley and asked Caunton to bat first on their picturesque ground.
The home side’s hopes of gaining promotion from Division K were soon dashed as Danny Williams (2-16) had both openers caught behind by Ben Tantum with only 14 runs on the board.
Steve Tilley (1-20) was also bowling tidily at the other end, but it was when Ben Millington came into the attack that the Caunton innings crumbled away.
His eight overs rewarded him with figures of 4-12 as Caunton were dismissed for just 89.
Williams and Paul Rockley opened the Kimberley reply in explosive fashion, scoring 25 runs from the first two overs.
Williams went for 12 at 36-1 and Rockley was dismissed for 27 to make the score 62-3.
The formality of victory was then overtaken by a minor panic, as Kimberley slipped to 84-7. But Tantum held his nerve to hit the winning runs and earn a three wicket victory.
Chilwell 2nd XI 216-7 beat KICC 4th XI 165 all out
Chilwell were asked to bat first at Titchfield Park and Paul Richardson's decision seemed inspired, as the visitors were rocked by a devastating opening spell from Becky Widdowson.
From her first five overs she returned superb figures of 3-5 and with Sam Freeman also taking an early wicket, Chilwell were in desperate trouble on 13-4.
