The Northern Premier League have confirmed that Eastwood Town FC are no longer members of Evo-Stik Division One South.
The news comes after the Badgers were unable to fulfill their fixtures due to being locked out of their home ground amid financial difficulties which look set to end the club’s existence.
A statement posted on the league’s website on Wednesday said: “At a league board meeting on Sunday 9th March the resignation letter received from Eastwood Town Football Club was accepted.
“Eastwood Town are therefore no longer members of the Northern Premier League.
“The league board agreed that the Eastwood Town playing record for season 2013-2014 will be expunged. The league table will be re-adjusted to reflect the decision at the earliest opportunity.”
