Blidworth prove too strong for Eastwood

Eastwood CFC remain on the hunt for league points after falling to a 5-0 defeat at Blidworth Welfare on Saturday in the Central Midlands League Black Dragon Division South.

Liam Theakstone struck a hat-trick for the home side whilst Max Curzon and Eeden Homer were also on target to make it ten defeats in ten for the Coronation Park outfit as they continue to adjust to life as a new club.

Eastwood are back in action this weekend with a home clash against Hucknall Rolls Leisure, kick-off 3pm.

Eastwood CFC Reserves, meanwhile, picked up their second draw in three games as they drew 3-3 with Holbrook St Michaels Reserves.

Robbie Mawer, Nikky Gibbons and Tim Clarke were on target for Eastwood, Tom Devere Smith and Charlie McCormack among the goals for the visitors.
