Moorgreen Colts round-up

Moorgreen Colts U10s came out on top in the local derby with Priory Celtic, securing a 2-1 win.

Priory led 1-0 at half-time but Moorgreen were much stronger in the second-half.

Tom Skellet came out of goal to bring the U10s level. Kai Bexon closed down adefender and found Dylan Frost who switched the ball to Skellet who made it 1-1.

Man-of-the-match Benjamin Riordan and former Priory player Finlay White kept Celtic at bay with the help of second stand-in keeper Leo Allen pulling off some fantastic saves.

Colts won the game with ten minutes left as captain Charlie Barlow danced around defenders in the box and slotted home.

The U14s won 4-2 against Farndon, goals coming from Tyler Slater, Connor Wren and Dominic Simon (2), while the U10s beat DNF Whites 6-2 thanks to Kye Palmer, Tom Hilton, Liam Garner, Billy Butler and Luke Cook (2). Connor Wilson was man-of-the-match.

The U13s beat Edwalton Cavs 3-0, Justin Holmes scoring twice and Bradley Holmes the other, Sam Bulgin man-of-the-match.

The U11s overcame Carlton Town 3-2 thanks to Joe Reeve, Sam Humphries and Jack Bamford’s goals, Angus James named man-of-the-match.

The U7s and U8s Blues both played well, Ben Stapleford the man-of-the-match for the U8s and Harvey Bexon for the U7s, while Isaac McDaid was man-of-the-match in the U7s last game of the season.
