Haxey CC’s first team are gearing up to face high-flying Sleaford as the side continue to fight for league survival.
The side’s away trip to Bourne CC this weekend was called off following heavy rainfall, during a weekend which saw just one Readers Lincolnshire ECB Premier League match completed with another abandoned midway.
The weekend’s washout saw Lindum apply the pressure on league leaders Woodhall Spa with a stunning 265-1 performance. Spa’s response was 159 all out as the Premier League upset left the title race wide open.
The other game to take place this weekend involved Haxey’s next opponents Sleaford.
Their trip to Bracebridge was called off by the umpires after 45 overs.
Haxey, who are currently second from bottom, host Sleaford at Haxey Playing Fields, Haxey Lane, on Saturday, at noon.
