Bagthorpe Athletic FC celebrates its 25th aniversary when an event takes place on Saturday, July 19.
The venue is to be Dixies Arms Park, Bagthorpe, and the fun and games will get under way from 2pm.
There will be live music performed by local groups, as well as a five- a-side football competition, a barbecue, tombola, bouncy castle, face painting and craft stalls.
The club is also hoping to mark Bagthorpe Athletic’s quarter century by inviting along to the event as many of the club’s former and current managers, players and committee members as possible.
For the 2014-2015 season, the club will be running six teams for local footballing juniors to take part in, from under 8s to under 13s.
Visitors of all ages are welcome to attend Saturday’s event.
Committee member Jim Cassidy, a former professional footballer, said: “The club is in a very healthy position. We held a soccer school recently and from that we had enough players to launch an under eights team. We are self-financing and all money raised is put back into the club. I think we have a good reputation in the area and always have scouts from local league clubs here.”
A number of ex-Bagthorpe players - most recently Notts County’s Haydn Hollis and Keano Leyton - have gone on to be professional footballers and the club is proud of its ongoing role in the community.”
The main sponsors at the club are Dixies Arms Public House, D R Construction and KFC.
