Epworth FC boss Gary Moment saw a marked improvement from their win over Northern FC last week as Connor Gresham ran riot with five goals in a 6-1 win.
Epworth travelled to Elkesley and put their marker down in the early stages of the game as Danny Sidall clipped a ball to the back post and Gresham headed in.
This was only the start of a flurry of attacks from the visitors as Gresham added his second with a half volley.
Mathew Muldoon was later brought down in the area as Gresham bagged his hat-trick from the spot - with just 20 minutes gone.
A shell-shocked Elkesley were powerless as Sidall struck before Gresham added his fourth and Epworth’s fifth.
After the restart, Epworth relinquished their clean sheet as goalkeeper Moment came out to punch the ball and the opposition scored.
Gresham finished the game off with a fifth for another win in the Gainsborough Sunday League.
Moment said: “Play improved from last week. We were keeping the ball better, applying pressure and quickening pace, especially Lewis Francis who was a key player.”
