Chelsea are on the verge of securing the signing of Real Madrid star Karim Benzema. Blues’ boss Jose Mourinho is looking to boost his forward line options to compliment Diego Costa, Loic Remy and Radamel Falcao.

Liverpool continue to seek a deal for Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke, with reports suggesting the Belgian will seal his move after Brendan Rodgers’ side activated a £32.5m release clause.

Benteke’s arrival could mean the Reds’ out-of-favour forward Rickie Lambert could be on the move, with Premier League rivals West Brom sniffing.

PSG are confident they can get a deal for Manchester United’s Angel Di Maria over the line this summer.

United are still pondering a bid for Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos.

The 29-year-old remains a target for boss Louis van Gaal, who may have to fork out as much as £42m for the centre-half.

One player who could be leaving United is defender Jonny Evans.

The Northern Irishman would fall even further down the pecking order should Ramos arrive, and Everton are interested in signing him from United for around £6m.

Tottenham are set to offload winger Aaron Lennon to Everton in a cash-plus-player deal as they aim to swoop for midfielder James McCarthy.
