Arnold Town 0

Greasley MW U15 4

Greasley maintained their excellent start to the season with another fine display against Arnold.

Welfare dominated from the off and took the lead when Brett Soiza combined with Sam Meakin out on the left, with the latter crossing low to the near post where Josh Baker drilled home.

The second came soon after when Sam Brown won a tackle and laid the ball to Meakin who then outpaced his marker to run from his own area to the dead ball line and cross low and hard for Baker to tap home at the far post.

The second-half saw the home side for a while grow into the game but Brad Walker and Tom Stockton read every through ball and cleared any danger and right-back Aidan Loscalzo also having a fine game.

Jack Millward scored the third goal from the edge of the area, before Gian Ciaurro had a long range effort tipped past the post by the keeper.

Meakin grabbed a deserved fourth late on with a right foot effort to round off another good team effort.

Man of the match: Joe Coxon.
