Nick Hawkins says the display put in by Eastwood Town at Gresley in the FA Cup was the worst of the season so far.
After seeing his side dumped out in the first qualifying round, the Badgers boss felt disappointed with what he’d seen.
He said: “It was the worst we’ve played this season which was a shame given it was the FA Cup and there was so much at stake.
“We started very poorly and conceded the early goal but once we equalised I felt we had the better of things but we couldn’t get a decisive second goal which I felt would have been crucial.
“Then we started the second-half as badly as we had the first and before we knew it we were 3-1 down.
“From that point we were chasing the game and even though we nearly earned a replay near the end it was a disappointing display.”
Eastwood head to Carlton Town on Saturday before hosting Loughborough Dynamo next Tuesday night.
Hawkins added: “Saturday is a massive game with it being a local derby but I think it’s very winnable for us.
“Obviously we’ve beaten Loughborough already this season in the cup, and with Kidsgrove and Lincoln coming up afterwards I’m keen for us to take at least ten points from these next four games.”
