Moorgreen U8 blues played what in the end turned out to be a friendly with Bingham.
the visitors to Birnam Park arrived with only four players for the match and the boys from Moorgreen entered into the Christmas spirit and agreed to mix up the teams so that a match could go ahead.
Moorgreen’s goals scored on both sides were from Liam white with two and Charlie Stevenson opening the scoring with a well taken drive.
There was strong attacking play from Ryan Garratt, who linked up well with both Kyran Thompson and Liam Arian Dehdezi.
A strong pairing of Mitchell Garratt and Kyran Thompson in defence proved the Blues are getting hard to breakdown at the back.
James Birkin also proved his flexibility in the team both playing at the back and up front.
There was another strong performance from Jamie Poole in the Colts goal and also proved himself a handful in an attacking role in the second half.
It was a good end to the year for the U8 blues, who go into the Christmas break on the back of a number of improved performances.
Man of the match went to Kyran Thompson for his determined play and clinical tackling in defence.
