Priory Celtic have benefited to the tune of £250 thanks to a local county councillor.
Cllr Philip Owen handed over a cheque from his divisional fund, with the money set to be spent on helping Priory’s ever-growing number of teams buy new mini-soccer goals, corner flags and pitchside barriers.
These will all help the club comply with FA guidelines and the current RESPECT campaign.
Coach John Harris said: “The kind donation from Cllr Owen allowed the club to purchase one full set of the goals.
“This is the second year running Cllr Owen, who has been a long standing supporter of Priory Celtic by always attending the club’s annual tournament to present the trophies, has provided funding through his divisional fund, and we thank him for his help.”
