Priory Celtic’s senior side made it a hat-trick of wins by beating Brooks Villa 6-2 away at Clifton Playing Fields on Sunday.
Priory created early chances and took the lead as Killian O’Neil scored from outside the box shooting through a crowd of players.
Villa levelled with penalty but Dec Smith fired in to keep Priory in front before half-time.
Danny Staley’s side then scored four in 20 second-half minutes.
Greg Wedge fired home from close range before Nick West scored after some fantastic build up play.
O’Neil added his second from the spot and Smith completed the scoring from just inside the box, before Villa added a late consolation.
A busy weekend saw no less than 15 of Priory’s teams in action with pride of place going to both of the U9 teams who recorded the same emphatic scorelines of 11-1.
The Whites won away at Gedling Southbank, with Jake Flowers helping himself to a hat-trick, Oliver Waite and Gabriel Dawson both bagging themselves a brace and other goals coming from Matthew Smalley, Zehn Rana, James Lock and Ben Griffiths.
Liam Garner topped the scoring for the Greens with five goals in their home win against Toton Tigers, Finlay Whyte scoring a hat-trick with contributions from Joseph Zakipour and the two Georges, Brereton and Simpson.
All of Priory’s young mini soccer teams played on Saturday morning, man of the match awards going to Nathan Richardson and Max Bunch
The U11 Whites won 1-0 at Trowell thanks to Matthew Hallam’s goal.
The U17s drew 2-2 at home to Ryedale, Greg Simmons with both of their goals, while the U15s had a very creditable 4-4 home draw against Sherwood FC, Alex Neilson claiming the man-of-the-match award.
The U14s lost their first match of the season at Beeston Park 4-0 and the promoted U12s beat Calverton Miners Welfare 3-1 with goals from William Bown, Jack Pyatt and Charley Hartshorn.
The U11 Greens overcame Market Warsop 4-1 with goals from Christopher Huskinson (2), Dylan George and Tommy Smith, while the U10s won 5-1 away at West Bridgford, goals from Harry Maplestone, Thomas Micaleff, Jack Hornby and Jimmy Foster (2).
Priory’s new U12 Girls travelled to Ilkeston and won with an emphatic scoreline, though the U16 girls lost to Wollaton Hall Green 2-1, Maisie Clifton scoring for Priory
