Young Jacksdale motorcycle racer Kyle Ryde has returned from a weekend at the Grand Prix circuit in Valencia, Spain, competing in the final round of the CEV Buckler Spanish Motorcycle Championship, courtesy of a former British Championship Team KRP, run by ex-racer turned tuner Mark Keen.
Kyle had been offered the chance to go out to Spain for the last round of this Championship and ride one of their GP machines along with their three regular riders.
With the two qualifiers out of the way, he was positioned 14th, which, considering the talent out there, was a good result.
As he came over the start line on lap one, Kyle was down a few places in 18th, but gathered pace and was chasing the leading pack by lap ten. With less than half the race left, Kyle was 11th. In the end, South African rider Brad Binder took the chequered Flag while Kyle took a well-deserved ninth.
Kyle and father Sean would like to thank those who made this opportunity happen, including Mark Keen for the complete faith in Kyle’s talents, John Cooper at HCM Electrical and Simon and Ibi at SRS Rail Systems.
Without their help, it would not have been possible to participate. Kyle now has the winter to contemplate what the future holds in the 2013 season.
