Whyte at the double in victory for u10s

Moorgreen Colts under 10s White came out on top in an epic game with Ruddington.

Thomas Skelett broke the deadlock with a powerful drive. A goal from Finley Whyte was then closely followed by one from Charlie Barlow.

Goal number four came from a long range drive by Leo Allen but Ruddington got one back just before half-time.

Ruddington came out all guns blazing with the league top scorer bagging two goals to make it 4-3.

Moorgreen then dug deep and took control with the Ruddington keeper making excellent saves after an impressive move involving most of the Moorgreen team.

Finley Whyte then scored his second, making the final score 5-3.

The under 13s won 2-1 against Wollaton. Goals came from Hannah Askew, Emily George and man of the match was Keeley Terry.

The under 12s lost 3-1 to Beeston Centurions Orange with the goal coming from Connor Heatherington. Man of the match was Christian Greenwood.

As for the under 14s, they won 5-1 against Rainworth. Dominic Simon (2) Dominic Palethorpe (2) and Josh Grainger were on target. Man of the match was Cameron Ried.

The under 10s blue lost 6-2 to Ravenshead and Kye Palmer and Connor Wilson scored for them while man of the match was Tom Hilton.

The under nines won 6-1 against Sandiacre. Tyler Pickworth (3) Caolon Dobney, Shaun Brown and Freddie Pitts scored. Man of the match was Nathan Hunt and Cianan O’Kane.

The under eights white put in an excellent performance with man of the match going to Jack Parker. The under eights blue also had a super game, and man of the match was Bradley Fry.

The under sevens had an outstanding quality hat-trick by Jay Appleton. Man of the match was George Skevington.

l The club is recruiting for a girls team which is being formed for the 2013/14 season with training to start immediately.

Ages from five to eight-years-old are welcome but children must have been five-years-old by the end of August 2012.
