Members of Eastwood Taekwon-do Academy have returned with numerous medals from the English Championships held in Devon.

The event in Paignton saw over 300 competitors take part with Grant Churchward 5th Degree the organiser of the event which was hosted by Grand Master Trevor Nicholls 9th Degree.

Master Michael Wood 8th Degree, chief instructor of Eastwood Taekwon-do Academy and Master Gary Gassor 8th Degree from Wales were also present.

The Eastwood winners were included Kerry Wilson 6th Degree who took golds in the power and pattern disciplines, with Kevan Robinson 3rd Degree winning silver in sparring and bronze in pattern.

James Pedley 2nd Degree took gold in power and bronze in sparring, with Ben Langton- 1st Degree winning silver in pattern and bronze in sparring.

Also starring were Demi-Leigh Brown Red Belt 1st Kup taking gold in sparring and bronze in pattern and John Short Red Belt 2nd Kup who earned a gold medal in the pattern and silver in sparring.

Vesta Daukintyte Red Belt 2nd Kup won silver in pattern and bronze in sparring and bronze in special technique, with Chloe Pickworth 9th Kup White Belt taking bronze in special technique.

Master Michael Wood said: “I was very pleased to have collected twice the number of medals than expected.

“A massive thank you to all the parents and spectators who supported this event.”
