Holbrook hit four past struggling Eastwood

Eastwood Community FC remain without a point after they were soundly beaten by fellow strugglers Holbrook St Michaels at Coronation Park on Saturday.

Holbrook sit just above Eastwood in the table, but goals from Richard Briggs, Jack Havron, Jon West and Adrian Westfield proved enough for victory, Kione Gordon with the hosts’ only strike.

Eastwood have no game this coming weekend, their next being at home to Linby Colliery Welfare on October 18.

Meanwhile, the club has confirmed it has entered a reserve team into the CMFL Reserve Premier Division.

The side, managed by Matt Timson, will have their first fixture this weekend with the visit of Belper United to Coronation Park on Saturday, kick-off 3pm. Admission is £1 or free to season ticket holders.
