Priory Celtic round-up.
The majority of Priory’s teams returned to either league or cup action this weekend after the half-term break.
In mini-soccer friendly action the U7s played at Rolls Royce with Jacob Andrews winning the man of the match award, while the U8 Whites also performed well with Jamie Muir and Harry Hallsworth sharing the award.
The U8 Greens took part in the Nottingham Forest Academy festival, where, playing four games, Priory won three and narrowly lost one scoring ten goals in the process. Owen Scattergood won the player of the tournament award.
In league action, the U9 Whites lost by the odd goal in five in a top-of-the-table clash at Riverside Royals, man of the match Tommy Reeves and Jake Lawes scoring the two goals.
The U9 Greens beati Carlton 7-0 at home, Bobby Watson scoring four goals in the process with Thomas Marshall (2) and Theo Simmonds claiming the others.
Priory’s U10 Greens had Connor Jones on target in a 2-1 loss at home to Sherwood FC, while the U10 Whites enjoyed a 5-0 win at Hucknall Sports, Ben Griffiths scoring two with Gabriel Dawson, Jake Flowers and Luke Millington also on target.
The U12 Whites were edged out at West Bridgford Predators, Robbie Horsley scoring in a 2-1 loss.
The U14s lost 3-0 at Ruddington while the U15s fell 2-1 at AFC Crusaders despite Luke Manning’s goal.
It was goals galore for the U12 Greens as they won 8-4 at East Leake, Christopher Huskinson netting twice. In contrast, the U11s played out a 0-0 draw at home to Netherfield Boys
In the County Cup, the U18s overcame Trowell 4-0, Michael Thomas (2), Luke McKeag and Jake Parr scoring and Luke Williams man-of-the-match.
But the The U16s were knocked out 2-0 by Hucknall Harriers.
