Four members of Eastwood TaeKwon-Do Academy have brought back an impressive haul of medals from the recent Scottish Championships that took place in Motherwell.

The event, held at the Ravenscraig Sports Centre, saw over 200 entries take part in total, and the four participants from Eastwood returned with ten medals between them.

Kevan Robinson 3rd Degree Black Belt claimed a silver medal in the seniors power category, and bronze medals in the pattern and sparring sections.

Also in the seniors was Richard Steel 8th Kup Yellow Belt, who took gold in the power, silver in pattern and bronze in sparring.

In the junior section was Vesta Daukintyte 8th Kup Yellow Belt, who earned herself a silver medal in the pattern discipline and another silver in sparring.

Finally, in the Kids Kickers section, Reave Steel 8th Kup Yellow Belt took bronze in the pattern and bronze in the sparring.

Instructor Master Mick Wood said: “This was a fantastic haul of medals from only four students.

“I’m very proud of them all for the dedication and hard work they’ve shown, as well as giving up their time to go and represent Eastwood TKD Academy.”
