Although Alan King’s six-year-old was disappointing when stepped up in class at Cheltenham last time, he remains one of the most highly thought of youngsters in the yard. He is expected to be too good for the opposition here, even though he must shoulder a penalty.

STAKING PLAN -- I have been asked by several RACELINE readers why TIP OF THE DAY is not accompanied by a staking plan. The main reason is that I prefer to leave stakes to your discretion. Some punters are level-stakes backers but some prefer to adjust their stakes according to the odds. Others might just want to include my selections in their accumulators. On some days, others might want to ignore them completely. Another factor to bear in mind is that the prices of the selections often change dramatically from the time they are supplied by myself to the time they go live on this website to the time the SPs are returned.

The bottom line is that TIP OF THE DAY is a FREE service, offering FREE advice to racing enthusiasts which, hopefully, will help them with their betting. It complements the other three sections of the RACELINE blog, the overall aim of which is to raise the profile of horse racing within the local media where it is often starved of publicity.
