Final preparations are taking place for two shows coming to Newark Showground this month.

Over the action-packed weekend of 18-19 October, organiser Aztec Events will be treating visitors to both the Newark Robin Hood Game And Country Show and the All About Dogs Show for just one ticket price.

So whether you’re a serious game and country enthusiast or looking for ‘grrrreat’ way to entertain the entire family, the Newark Showground will have it all.

The main arena will feature Robin Hood and his Merry Men in thrilling displays of jousting by the leading Stampede Stunt Display Team and high-energy stunt riding by Jason Smyth’s Adrenalin Tour while the Countryside Arena will host ferret racing, Gun Dog Training Displays and the dog and duck show.

Other activities for the whole family include field archery and shooting as well as entertaining and educational displays and plenty of shopping and chances to sample and buy a range of scrumptious produce from fine wines to delicious cheeses.

Elsewhere the All About Dogs Show will be offering a whole host of canine fun for the whole family. From entertaining demonstrations by the Essex K9 to plenty of ‘have a go’ games and competitions, this pawsitively spectacular show actually offers the chance for every dog to have its day.

It also features stacks of expert grooming or behavioural advice from top canine professionals as well as shopping for even the fussiest of pampurred pooches.
