Python star Carol to drop in at Quad

Quad in Derby will be screening a short season of Monty Python films in March entitled The Circus Is Back In Town! to coincide with the release of the not-quite-Python, not-quite-biopic film A Liar’s Autobiography.

The season includes a pair of Monty Python classics: Monty Python And The Holy Grail and Monty Python’s Life Of Brian, screening on Good Friday.

Actress Carol Cleveland will be at Quad for a Q&A and to introduce a screening of A Liar’s Autobiography. Carol is probably best known for filling the female roles that didn’t require a Python in drag. She will discuss the new film and her time working with the Circus.

A Liar’s Autobiography: The Untrue Story Of Monty Python’s Graham Chapman is an animated feature based on the novel of the same name by Graham Chapman. Prior to his death in 1989, Graham Chapman had recorded himself reading from the book and these recordings have been used to provide Chapman’s voice in the film alongside fellow Pythons John Cleese, Terry Jones, Michael Palin and Terry Gilliam, who play themselves and other characters.
