SummersQUAD returns in August, with creative activities for the whole family together, suitable for children aged three and above, accompanied by an adult. SummersQUAD is a chance to explore the themes of QUAD’s Football Season with QUAD artists to create your own Photo Films, Football Icons, Imaginary Stadiums, Summer Bunting and Subbuteo Puppets.
SummersQUAD takes place every Friday in August from 1pm-3pm, the cost is £2 per person per session, families can just drop in or book places in advance. Those who book all five sessions can get the fifth free.
There are some creative and digital summer holiday activities for children aged 7-11 years - called ‘KidsQUAD’ or young people aged 12 to 16 years – called ‘DigisQUAD’. Parents can leave their children unaccompanied during these sessions, which are all themed to tie in with QUAD’s football season. The sessions take place daily over one week each, or half week sessions can be booked separately. KidsQUAD and DigisQUAD places are limited and pre-booking is essential through QUAD box office.
Regular events that also take place over the summer include Lego Saturday, in QUAD every Saturday from 11am until 4pm.
Lego Saturday is a chance for children aged three and above (and grown-ups!) to come and have a play with Lego in the Family Friendly Resource area just outside QUAD Gallery. Lego Saturday is free and all children should be accompanied.
