There will be a musical tribute to the illustrious back catalogue of Debbie Harry and Blondie at The Flowerpot in Derby on Friday, July 19.

Fronted by the incredible look/sound-alike Michelle Hendriks, the aim of Blondied is to faithfully recreate the sound of Debbie Harry and Blondie and to capture the excitement and power of the band onstage for new and old fans alike.

The Blondied show includes all of Blondie’s hits and more, from their raucous early records right up to the slick pop/rock that has become Blondie’s trademark in the 21st century.

The show also includes some of Debbie Harry’s solo hits, such as French Kissing in the USA and I Want That Man.

Then, on Saturday, July 20, there’s another tribute to some late 70s music legends when The Sex Pistols Experience deliver a performance at the King Street venue.

With a worldwide reputation built from over 1,000 live shows made up from extensive tours of the U.K, USA, Europe and South America, The Sex Pistols Experience are renowned far and wide.

The band has played all the top venues and appeared on film and television a number of times.

They’ve gained approval from the real Pistols band themselves with appearances on Jonesy’s Jukebox, hosted by The Sex Pistols’ guitarist Steve Jones, and they have also been seen performing at Sex Pistols’ after show parties.

Their show has perfected the look and sound down to every last detail.

This is not pantomime punk.

This is not another run-of-the-mill covers band.

The band sweat out every ounce of energy to make sure each concert is as dynamic, explosive, and exciting as the ‘real deal’.

They have captured perfectly all the spirit and energy of the Sex Pistols at their blistering peak 1977 period, when they were one of the most important and revolutionary bands to blast their way onto the British music scene.

This excitement of the early days is also blended with the ability of the seasoned musicians of their later reformation tours. This is a rare chance to hear all the classics live, in a tribute to one of the most influential bands of all time.

Doors open for both gigs at 8pm.

Admission is £9 to see Blondied and £9 for The Sex Pistols Experience.
