Bumper season for Duffield Music

The next Music At Duffield season will run from September 2014 until April 2015 and sees another impressive selection of musicians taking part.

The first concert is on Saturday, September 27, and features harpist Catrin Hall playing Ravel, Bach and Smetana, among others.

Described as the ‘queen of the harps’, Catrin Finch has delighted audiences with her performances in the UK and worldwide.

The Jubilee String Quartet will be the guests on Saturday, December 6.

They will play string quartets by Haydn and Beethoven.

The prize-winning Jubilee String Quartet was formed at the Royal Academy of Music in 2006.

The Bemrose Bursary Recital takes place on Saturday, January 24, and features James Hendry (piano) and Amy Yule (flute).

Violinist Ning Kam and cellist Katherine Jenkinson appear on Saturday, February 28, with a selection of solos and duets by composers such as Ravel and Handel.

Lucy Hall (soprano) and pianist Gavin Roberts play on March 21, followed by Martin Cousin (piano) on April 25.

Performances are at The Ecclesbourne School in Duffield, with recitals starting at 7.30pm.
