Citrus-infused rock at Venue

There’s a bumper crop of musical talent set to appear at the latest Radar Love event at The Venue in Derby on Friday, September 6.

Topping the bill will be Satsuma Elephants. At the turn of 2013, a new era began within the blues scene as two of its gypsy travellers came together to bring citrus-infused psychedelic rock’n’roll to the world.

The rumbling of Chris Goring’s drums and purr of Matt Henshaw’s guitars have been an audible backdrop to the year for those in the know, as the Elephants have been crafting their songs and reimagining blues, country and soul music.

Alongside the roar of the Elephants, Leah Sinead will provide a unique, fragile voice, showcasing the talent that has taken the Nottingham circuit by storm.

Like the warm glow of birthday candles, Northampton singer-songwriter Hana Bushnell has a distinct, soulful sound, having been compared to artists such as Damien Rice and Lucy Rose.

Lead singer of dynamic four-piece House of Thieves, Tom Gourlay will provide the party punch by blessing the stage with an acoustic set.

Becky Edwards will also add a slice of heartfelt acoustic magic to what’s set to be a celebratory evening.
