Dark humour with Adam

To celebrate the success of his debut solo show at The Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2011 and a suitably smutty Christmas show at London’s Lyric Theatre, Amateur Transplants frontman Adam Kay packed up his piano to sing his way across the UK with his own unique brand of smutty songs.

And now he’s going to be performing at Derby’s Assembly Rooms on Wednesday, May 30.

In the ten years since Adam began performing, Amateur Transplants have developed a major fanbase.

With sell-out tours and Edinburgh Festival seasons, his cutting-edge, darkly humorous re-imaginings of modern day pop and rock classics have gained him a cult following across the UK.

Adam has recorded four albums including Fitness to Practice and Unfit to Practise and a live album, In Theatre.

He has been offsetting some of the bad karma caused by all the swearing by donating a proportion of album sales to Macmillan Cancer Support and is proud to have donated in excess of £30,000.
