DCO back at the cathedral

DERBY Concert Orchestra’s Christmas Family Concert is to be held on Saturday, December 10, at Derby Cathedral, starting at the earlier than usual time of 7pm.

Conducted by Jonathan Trout, the concert is titled Let’s Face The Music And Dance and, not surprisingly, features a wide selection of entertaining, dance-themed music.

The programme includes Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, extracts from Prokofiev’s Romeo And Juliet plus festive favourites and carols.

In addition, there will be Devil’s Galop (the theme to classic radio serial Dick Barton: Special Agent), Tritsch-Tratsch Polka, and many more.

Tickets are £12 (£10 concessions) and under 16s get in free with an adult. They are available from Foulds Music of Derby, from orchestra members or on the door.
