Nottingham-based rock band Plague Of Ares will be playing the New Inn, Ilkeston, on Friday, October 14.
The female-fronted young metal band from the Nottinghamshire/Derby area, whose infuences include Evanescence, Avenged Sevenfold and Korn, were formed by singer Kirsty Davis and drummer Adam Smith at the end of 2010. They were soon joined by Scott Moody on bass and began the search for two guitarists to complete the line-up.
Although it took several months and many auditions to recruit Si Clay and then finally Daniel Bramley, they feel it was definitely worth the wait to get the heavy twin lead sound that they wanted. Launched in July this year they already have a busy gig schedule and have played support slots at The Maze in Nottingham, MFN in Shipley and The Greyhound in Beeston.
Admission to the gig is free and they will be onstage at 9.15pm.
