The 2014-2015 Music at Duffield season will get under way on Saturday, September 27, with a performance by harpist Catrin Finch.
The concert will be in the main hall at The Ecclesbourne School in Duffield. Doors open at 7pm with the performance starting at 7.30pm.
Catrin Finch is described as “The Queen of Harps” and has delighted audiences with her performances in the UK and worldwide. As the former Royal Harpist to H.R.H. the Prince of Wales, holding the appointment from 2000-2004, Catrin had the honour of reviving this ancient tradition, last held in 1873.
Her programme will include an arrangement of Ravel’s Pavane Pour Une Infante Defunte, Patterson’s Mosquito Massacre, Salzedo’s Concert Fantasy on Lara’s Granada, plus works by Bach, Smetana, Albeniz and Piazzola.
Ticket prices for the concert by Katrin Finch are £13 by adults, £12 for concessions and £6 for students.
