With the release of their third album - Saturday Night At The Movies - this month, The Overtones have also confirmed the details of their UK tour.

They will take their tight vocal harmonies and easy-going charm on the road for a major UK tour that will commence next February.

The tour includes a performance at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall on March 19.

The Overtones landed a hit with their debut album Good Ol’ Fashioned Love, which peaked at number four and they followed it with last year’s Higher, which entered the charts at number six.

Sales of the two albums have passed 600,000.

Along the way they’ve enjoyed a succession of major achievements, including performing in front of 250,000 people at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert, appearing at the Festival of Remembrance and hitting London’s Hyde Park for major festival shows at BT London Live (2012).

Saturday Night At The Movies is a celebration of some of the most-loved songs in cinematic history.

It finds The Overtones reinvigorating iconic songs from famous films such as Grease, Dirty Dancing, Pretty Woman, Cocktail and The Jungle Book, with their own timeless sense of style.

Commencing with a joyous interpretation of the title track, the album’s numerous highlights include a fresh reworking of Oh, Pretty Woman that encompasses the quintet’s vintage five-part vocal harmonies; a hi-octane blast through the Blues Brothers’ classic Shake A Tail Feather; and the boys’ energetic take on Do You Love Me.

It also features a very special guest in the shape of modern soul star and multiple MOBO winner Beverley Knight on Hit The Road Jack.

“Touring is our favourite part of the year and we’re really excited to be hitting the road and coming to a venue near you,” said Lachie Chapman. “You’ll know by now that by the end of one of our shows we make sure everyone is up dancing and the Saturday Night At The Movies tour will do exactly that!”
