Heanor Musical Theatre and Rising Stars are putting on a production of the popular musical Bugsy Malone and are on the lookout for new members.
The production is by the youth theatre section of Heanor Musical Theatre, the Rising Stars and anyone aged 8-18 is welcome to come along and get involved. No experience is necessary.
The group rehearses every Tuesday and Wednesday at Heanor Methodist Church, Market Street, Heanor, from 7pm until 8.30pm
The production will take place at Heanor Gate Science College on May 29-31.
There are still many small parts, dancing roles and background chorus roles to cast, ideal for kids who initially don’t want to be in the spotlight too much.
Bugsy Malone is a slapstick comedy set in late 1920s New York, focusing on the two main gangster mobs, belonging to Dandy Dan and Fat Sam.
Dandy Dan and Fat Sam (owner of the Grand Slam Speak easy) are the leaders.
