Showbiz tales with star Anita

Catch all-round entertainer Anita Harris when she performs her show at Mansfield Palace Theatre next week.

Anita Harris has enjoyed highly successful career spanning over 50 years which started when, as a 15 year old, she was spotted on a London ice rink.

She was whisked away to Las Vegas to appear three times a night in a top revue.

Returning to the UK she went on to work with The Cliff Adams Singers, appear in two Carry On films, grace the top of the pop charts, become a pantomime legend as Peter Pan, star in Cats in the West End for two years and feature in seven Royal Command Performances.

She has never stopped performing and has worked alongside legendary names in the world of entertainment such as Harry Secombe, Phil Silvers, Morecambe and Wise, Tommy Cooper, magician David Nixon, Sid James, Kenneth WIlliams and Clive Dunn.

Anita’s My Life in Showbusiness event is a wonderful cocktail of song, glitz, chat and humour.

With musical accompaniment from her trio, Anita reveals wonderful anecdotes from her life in showbusiness, the people she has met and the places she has been.

She performs the songs that have made her into one of the country’s best loved stars including Memory, Just Loving You, All That Jazz and Route 66  amongst many others. 

My Life in Showbusiness is at Mansfield Palace Theatre on Wednesday, October 7, at 2.30pm.

Tickets are priced at £14.86 full, £12.82 concessions and block bookers buying ten, get the 11th free.
