Sinfonia back with new work

SINFONIA Viva return to Derby’s Assembly Rooms on Tuesday, January 24, for a concert to be conducted by Andre De Ridder.

The orchestra will be performing Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No 1, Janacek’s On An Overgrown Path, orchestrated by David Blake, and Mozart’s 38th Symphony (‘Prague’).

The concert also features a new work by James Redwood, the latest in Viva’s Orchestral Shorts series. James Redwood is the workshop leader for Viva’s successful school residency projects.

The cello will be Tanja Tetzlaff and the concert starts at 7.30pm.
