Wilson and co pay tribute to a golden age

There’s a special treat for film music fans when star conductor John Wilson and his handpicked and highly talented orchestra performs at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall on Monday, November 25.

The concert is called That’s Entertainment, a tribute to the Golden Age of MGM Musicals.

It features showstopping sequences from hit MGM musicals including Meet Me In St Louis, High Society, The Band Wagon, Gigi, An American In Paris, Girl Crazy, Easter Parade, Show Boat and much more.

Packing out concert halls across the globe and selling out in the BBC Proms in minutes, the John Wilson Orchestra is one of the most popular ensembles around.

For this concert, the orchestra will be joined by star soloists Matt Ford and Anna Jane Casey for a stroll down memory lane to relive the golden age of Hollywood, through its best music scores.
