A farcical tale of holiday woes

A BEDFULL of Foreigners will be on stage at Buxton Opera House for the enjoyment of drama lovers, when Bruce James Productions returns to the venue from February 2-4.

When Stanley and Brenda, on a motoring trip, obtain a room for the night in a French village, they consider themselves lucky – but not for long.

Within an hour, Stanley finds himself, in Brenda’s absence, lowering an attractive girl, stark naked, from the window, with the room’s radiator hanging from the ceiling.

The arrival of Claude, the girl’s husband, and his own girlfriend, Simone, causes further chaos. By the second hour, almost everyone is in the wrong bed, as figures dressed as nuns and monks rush in and out and seductions and confrontations run rampant. A Bedfull Of Foreigners has all the ingredients of a fast-moving farce.

Tickets are priced from £12 to £16. Call the box office on 0845 127 2190.
