One of the greatest tales of the 20th century, The Hounds of The Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, will be performed live on stage at Buxton Opera House from May 17-19.
World famous Baker Street detective Sherlock Holmes and his trusty sidekick Dr Watson are called upon to investigate the legend of a supernatural hound, a beast that may be stalking a young heir on the fog shrouded Devon moorland that surrounds his family estate.
The Hound of the Baskervilles is one of the popular stories of the 20th century and its macabre appeal has made it the most well known of the Sherlock Holmes adventures. Clive Francis’s adaptation includes five actors, who move effortlessly from character to character within a simple setting that enables the fast-pasted action to unfold dramatically.
