More comedy capers at Cross Keys

The monthly Comedy @ The Cross Keys shows continue at the Belper venue this week with the latest event taking place tomorrow (Thursday, April 24).

This will be a relaxed evening at the Market Place-based venue, with seven or eight talented comics on stage, including excellent one-liner act Masai Graham, a wonderful character comedian called Jay Islaam (Bambam Shaikh is his best-known act) and more faces from the Midlands comedy circuit, all fronted by regular compere James Wallace.

On May 29, the experienced Nick Banks is performing, plus a mix of old and new gags from Ben Briggs, the return to the Keys of Dave Tomlinson, hard-working scene act Roger Swift (TBC) and an Edinburgh Fringe Festival Preview Show 50-minute headline set from the excellent Canadian John Hastings.

On June 26, the acts are Dean Mavros, Theresa Farlow, Matt Fong, James Hately and a full hour’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival Preview Show from circuit professional Joe Bromehead.

Those attending the gigs are asked to get there from 8pm, in plenty of time for an 8.30pm start.
