The Agatha Christie Company returns to Derby Theatre next month to perform the classic mystery Go Back For Murder.
This thrilling production of one of the queen of crime’s stories can be seen at the venue from October 8-12, as part of the company’s latest UK tour.
A heavyweight cast has been lined up for Go Back for Murder, with prolific stage and TV credits to their names, including Liza Goddard (TV’s Give us a Clue and Bergerac); child and grown-up screen star and cover model Sophie Ward, (Land Girls, Heartbeat, Holby City and Jane Eyre); Robert Duncan (fondly remembered for his role as Gus Hedges in Channel 4’s Drop the Dead Donkey); Gary Mavers (Dr Andrew Attwood in Peak Practice); Lysette Anthony (Woody Allen’s Husbands and Wives and BBC sitcom Three Up, Two Down) and Ben Nealon (Jeremy Forsyth in ITV’s Soldier Soldier) completes the all-star cast.
In Go Back For Murder, Carla La Merchant has to live with a disturbing family secret; her mother, Caroline Crale, died in prison while serving life for killing her husband. But on finding a letter in which Caroline claims that she’s innocent, Carla becomes
obsessed, determined to clear her mother’s name. Enlisting the help of Justin Fogg, the son of Caroline’s defense lawyer, Carla tracks down a number of people from her mother’s tragic past, only to uncover a shocking truth…
