More than 100 new jobs as major Giltbrook store opens doors
More than 100 new jobs are being created as a major retail outlet opens its doors in Giltbrook this month.
Marks and Spencer will open its newest store at Giltbrook Shopping Park on Wednesday, July 29.
A team of up to 120 colleagues will work in the shop, offering the community a selection of clothing, food and home items, as well as a 116-seat Marks and Spencer café.
There will also be 2,300 free car parking spaces to choose from outside the store.
Store manager Martin Kirkpatrick, who has worked at Marks and Spencer for 14 years, said: “My team and I are really excited about our new flagship store.
"When open, we’ll be working hard to provide outstanding service and help make every penny count for the community.
"Our new store will offer thousands of great quality food products, the latest in clothing inspiration and essentials for the whole family.”
To help celebrate the opening, each day for the first seven days the Giltbrook store is open, one customer per day will be treated to their shopping for free.
Each recipient will be chosen at random during the first seven days and whatever is in your trolley will be complimentary.
Alongside the in-store offering, M&S Giltbrook will also offer its full range of clothing and home products via its ‘Click and Collect’ service.
Customers can opt for next day pick up when they order online and the store will also offer returns.
Manager Martin added: “We have everything needed to make the most of sunny days and to enjoy summer at home this year. Shoppers can get their kids kitted out for summer or for those looking to refresh their living space, visitors will be able to view the latest accessories to brighten up the home.
“We’re really looking forward to welcoming the community and we will have measures in place to reflect the latest guidelines, to ensure everyone can shop safely and with peace of mind.”
The store will be located in Ikea Way, Giltbrook, and will be open Monday to Friday from 9am to 9pm, Saturday 9am to 8pm and on Sunday from 11am to 5pm.
