Pupils from Aldercar School enjoyed a day trip to Boulogne after winning an art competition.
The school won a competition organised by Pickfords Travel in Ripley, to design and build a model of the Statue of Liberty.
The branch manager at Pickfords wanted to run the competition to promote American holidays, which were not doing particularly well at the time.
The group are pictured here outside the Sea Life Museum.
All photos on this week’s memory lane page were taken on the trip, on Friday, Decmeber 10, 1993.
