A NEW café for teenagers with learning difficulties in Kimberley has received funding from Nottinghamshire County Council and Broxtowe Borough Council.

Rumbletums Community Café in Newdigate Street received £10,000 from the two authorities. The funding has paid for building work and equipment. The service, at the Hub Café, is now a registered charity and is due to open over the next few weeks. It has been set up to offer training and employment opportunities to teenage college leavers with learning disabilities.

A new logo for the project has been designed at no cost by Nuthall-based Creative Solutions Unlimited and Kimberley School business studies students will be helping with the café’s marketing.
