Bulwell’s Red Lion community centre will today, Friday, be holding an apprenticeship event to help young people access employment opportunities by raising awareness and understanding of Apprenticeships.
The event, based at the Coventry Road facility, willprovide visitors with information of the opportunities available with local employers.
“This is a great event to round off National Apprenticeship Week in Nottingham,” said Coun Alan Clark. “It will showcase the achievements of apprentices in the city and highlight the opportunities that are available.
“Coun Eunice Campbell and I have both been shadowed by apprentices this week and we are most impressed with their commitment.”
There will be employers and training providers attending the fair and attendees will also be able to access free interactive workshops. Advice on how to prepare and apply for an apprenticeship and discuss options with employers and apprenticeship training providers will also be available.
All attendees are encouraged to bring along their CVs to the event from 1-4.30pm.
