Developers working on transforming the brewery site in Kimbeley have said they should be ready to put their plans on the table next month when they will launch a public consultation.
Housing developer Barteak has said it is currently in talks with Broxtowe Borough Council and the ‘master plan’ should be ready in July, when a public consultation will be launched.
Planning applications will be submitted at the end of the year, Barteak project director Lawrence Wadlow said.
We reported in the Advertiser last month how the Save Our Brewery Site campaign group had become restless waiting for information after being told plans would be revealed back in April.
But owner of the site Rafiq Vindhani said it was a ‘complicated project’ and patience was needed.
“We are running late. It’s a big, complicated site and there’s various things to do.
“We have been open and fair but we need a bit of patience.”
Barteak is a developer of mixed use sites including employment, residential and care provision.
Mr Vindhani runs Amfaah Investments which bought the site in January 2011.
